Built for the legal and regulatory reality banks, NBFCs and fintechs actually operate in

Dispute resolution is an important part of financial institutions and must meet strict regulatory requirements. Every case on Sandhee is managed with a clear, secure, and well-documented process, helping organisations meet compliance requirements and maintain records that can stand up to regulatory review or legal scrutiny.

How Sandhee Aligns With Indian Law

Section 34 & 36

Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996

Every arbitration run on Sandhee follows the procedural requirements of the Act — valid arbitrator appointment, statutory notice periods and a reasoned award. This matters most at the point most platforms fail: Section 34. An arbitral award can only be set aside within three months of receipt and only on the narrow grounds the Act allows. Sandhee follows the designed workflow to close that door — clean appointment records, documented notice and a procedurally sound award reduce the surface area for a Section 34 challenge and a properly conducted award is enforceable as a decree under Section 36.

Digital records & signatures

Information Technology Act, 2000

Notices, consents and awards issued through Sandhee are treated as electronic records and digital signatures under the IT Act — recognised in law on the same footing as physical documents, not as a workaround to them.

Recovery conduct

RBI – Fair Practices Code & Digital Lending Directions, 2025

Recovery conduct is under direct regulatory scrutiny. RBI's Digital Lending Directions require lenders to run a proper grievance redressal process before a customer can escalate to the RBI's Complaint Management System. Sandhee's structured, logged resolution process gives banks and NBFCs a documented first line of grievance handling — evidence of fair conduct if a recovery case is ever questioned by a regulator, ombudsman or court.

ADR mandate

Section 89, Code of Civil Procedure (CPC), 1908

Sandhee supports dispute resolution processes that align with the principles of Section 89 CPC, which encourages parties to resolve disputes through Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanisms, including arbitration. By enabling structured ODR workflows, secure digital case management and transparent proceedings, Sandhee helps organisations adopt efficient, technology-enabled dispute resolution in support of Section 89's objectives.

Electronic evidence

Indian Evidence Act / Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023 (Section 65B / Section 63)

Electronic evidence is only as good as its certification. Sandhee generates the certified digital trail — timestamped logs, communication records and document history — needed to satisfy Section 65B (now Section 63 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam) if a case is ever contested in court, so your electronic evidence doesn't get thrown out on a technicality.

Data protection & DPDP

Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023

Case data, borrower information and communication records handled through Sandhee are governed by defined access controls, purpose limitation and retention practices — built to hold up as India's data protection enforcement matures, not retrofitted later.
